To be avoided at all costs whilst in the presence of a cat. Yesterday, we encountered a Recology trash truck, which idles at a gentle thunder and scares the bejesus of kittycats.
So I picked the cat up into my arms, but when the man started the compactor, the cat freaked out and tore through my flannel shirt. This isn't the first time it's happened; also happened a few weeks ago when a street sweeper passed.
Like I said, avoid at all costs!
